We’re passionate about sharing sewing skills and are thrilled to bring you our brand new celebrity sewing workshops, headlining with Jen, Jan and Mercedes, contestants on last year’s Sewing Bee and brand ambassadors for Juki sewing machines. Book here.
The Guild of Silk Painters
The Guild of Silk Painters is an international non-profit making organisation based in the UK. The aim is to promote and inspire silk painters of all levels and abilities, and to share ideas and information through it’s journal and website.
The Lace Guild
The Lace Guild will be displaying lace created by their members, who work to keep this traditional craft alive, including contemporary pieces. There is the opportunity for visitors to make a small piece of lace to keep as a souvenir on their ‘Have-a-go’ pillows, which are always popular, especially with younger visitors.
Woman’s Weekly Vintage Exhibition
This is a unique opportunity to see the Woman’s Weekly vintage exhibition. A few years ago, WW asked readers to send in Woman’s Weekly patterns and fabrics from the past. Working closely with dressmakers and an archivist, they have put together a capsule exhibition that will take you on a walk down memory lane.
Sew Your Style Competition 2020
Now in it’s 3rd year, this competition in association with The Pattern Pages, gives visitors the chance to show your sewing style, flair and creativity. With judging on the first day and £3,000 of prizes up for grabs up for grabs it’s primed to be an exciting competition.
West Midlands & Warwickshire Federation of WI’s
The WI is a democratic, social and educational charity that provides numerous opportunities to make new friends, learn a variety of new skills and to develop skills you already have! Warwickshire and West Midlands Federations of WI’s join together at Sewing for Pleasure to display their creative talents and promote membership of the WI.

Children under 16 are welcome into the VIP area with a ticket. If you do not wish to buy a full price ticket, you can buy a child or carer access ticket for £6 by calling 01425 277 988 once online VIP tickets are on sale (£6 tickets include shop & drop & drinks only). If you have already purchased a ticket and wish to upgrade for £25 please go to the ticket desk on arrival at the show.

What do I need to do to validate my ticket?
You need to make sure that you have confirmation that you are attending an event at the NEC with you when
you are travelling (as the conductor may ask you for this on the train). So, please make sure you have your
exhibitor/visitor passes or email confirmation with you.
The NEC is situated 8 miles east of Birmingham city centre, just off junction 6 of the M42 and is clearly signposted.
