Vanity Fair Costumes
A stunning display of historical costumes from 2018’s hugely popular TV series Vanity Fair, based on the 1848 novel by William Thackeray. Featuring outfits from Michael Palin, Frances de la Tour, Martin Clunes, Olivia Cooke (as social climber Becky Sharp) and Tom Bateman (as Captain Rawdon;).
Mr X Stitch Workshops
Enjoy an hour of deep mindfulness mandala making with this beautiful backstitch project brought to you with love by Mr X Stitch. Join the Kingpin of Contemporary Embroidery for a relaxing session that’ll recharge your batteries and allow your credit card to cool, so you’ll be ready to make the most of your time at the show (see workshops tab!)
Join Steffi from The Makerss to make your very own bee brooch in support of Grans in the Make who are at the show raising awareness about the decline in bee population. Steffi will also be doing a demo at the theatre each day and making a large bee which will be donated to the Grans.

Once again we bring you our fabulous catwalk shows, hosted by Brenda Killigrew of IDC Academy, showcasing a range of sensational creations from the shows exhibitors and students. These take place three times a day, so relax, take the weight off your feet, and enjoy!

Sew Your Style 2019
Now in its second year, this competition celebrates all the budding dressmakers out there. Sew Your Style is brought to you in association with The Pattern Pages and is a chance for you to show us your unique style, flair and creativity.
A panel of sewing industry judges will cast their votes in the lead up to the show.

Lisa Marie Olson, author of Felt Wonderland is a creative entrepreneur who designs in all things wonderland, from the heart of her home studio in the Midlands! As Seen on TV, “Award Winning” and Voted Best of British are just a few of the highlights of Lisa’s creative life. Lisa Marie is incredibly proud to have been selected to represent the Crafty Beggars at the Creative Crafts Show in March 2019, as part of Team Crafty Beggars. So why not step into wonderland and be transported to another world of creativity with the fabulous workshops on offer at the show.
Make and Takes: Come and learn how to needle felt a cute chick or bunny head in the Crafty Beggars VIP area.
Mark Vardy founded Silvar Design in 2004. Originally an electronics engineer, Mark is now a silversmith, running workshops in silver jewellery-making and enamelling on copper from his studio in Staffordshire. Mark also designs jewellery kits ranging from simple elasticated bracelets and earrings to macrame and kumihimo braiding. Mark has presented these for sale on a number of craft shopping channels since 2015. Mark is a qualified adult education teacher.
Make and takes: Use a variety of beads, tubing and charms to make a delightful spring memory wire bracelet in the Crafty Beggars VIP area.
Ali is a mixed media crafter and one half of Stamps Away. She loves teaching and demonstrating all manner of crafting but with a particular reputation for using the everyday items, in a rafty way. She has been demonstrating on the craft shopping channel now for 10 years and is known for her unusual techniques. And is looking forward to an exciting 2019 with Team Crafty Beggars

Simply Vintage Design
Melissa is founder of Simply Vintage Designs which was born from a love of all things vintage and handmade. She brings handpicked original vintage items, haberdashery and fabrics back to life using modern and traditional crafting techniques. Her workshops are a relaxed, creative environment where up-cycling meets creativity. Melissa is a regular guest presenter on Hochanda TV and a proud member of Team Crafty Beggars.
Make and Takes: Lovely vintage paper spring flowers
Janie is an established mixed media Artist and designer, she teaches many forms of arts and crafts and can be seen demonstrating on Hochanda TV with her Hobby Art stamp collections and Bizarre-ology MDF mixed media techniques.
Make and takes: In these sessions you will learn how to bind a paper covered notepad with a selection of lovely decorative papers. This simple technique can then be used, by you at home, to create various sizes of notebooks and journals.
Lechlade Craft Barn
Jennie and Karen launched Lechlade Craft Barn in 2014, offering an exciting range of affordable craft workshops in a beautiful stone barn in the Cotswolds. With backgrounds in design and craft, the award-winning duo can also be found at a number of venues around the UK and are delighted to be art of the Crafty Beggars Team. “Our workshops are fun, relaxed and designed for beginners or keen crafters”, says Jennie and Karen “with the Crafty Beggars team involved, it’s even more fun!”
